I had a set of Cleveland CG golds (the precursor to the CG7s). I made the mistake of being wowed by the hype and marketing of another brand that promised incredible distance and consistency in their irons. While this other set that I bought was a good set of irons (Taylormade 2009 Burners), I began to find myself feeling nostalgic for my CG golds which I gave to a friend. I went to the golf shop and hit the CG7s for about an hour and decided right then that I had to have them. They were fit for me (std length, and 2 deg flat), arrived within a week and were everything I had hoped. And guess what..I am getting MORE distance and much better accuracy with the CG7s than I got from the Burners! And they have that legendary Cleveland feel that, in my opinion, no other manufacturer comes close to. I have tried all the big names: Taylormade, Callaway,Cobra,Ping,Nike,Mizuno,Titleist..and I keep coming back to Cleveland.
Don't be wowed by names, image, or hype. Give these irons an objective try and you will see exactly what I'm talking about! When I asked the pro at the golf shop about the difference between the Clevelands and Taylormades, the first thing he said was "The Clevelands are a much better product, much better designed"
The CG7s will be in my bag for a long time and now I have to try and sell the Burners!

Product Description:
Feel, distance, and forgiveness are the hallmarks of the Cleveland CG7 Irons. Designed for all-ability players, the CG7s offer the technical support you need to make your best shot more often. On the CG7 Irons, vibrations are dampened across the entire face for the best possible feel with 360 degree Gelback Technology. A one-piece injection-molded, lightweight visco-elastic insert covers the entire perimeter of the head's cavity and the base provide superior feel, even on off-center hits.
On the CG7 Irons Dynamic Progressively sized microcavities decrease in length from the long irons to the short irons to optimize the CG location for each head. This Microcavity Technology (MCT) allows movement of discretionary weight lower and deeper for increased distance, ball speed, and accuracy off the tee.
Heel / Toe Muscle Weighting creates a six percent higher Moment of Inertia (MOI) than traditional irons. This produces a lower and deeper CG location for a higher trajectory, creating more distance-increased forgiveness on off-center hits.
Bottom line--the CG7 Irons offer the technology and support to help you get more out of your game at any level of play.
